JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Work of Art Services Inc offers professional art handlers an opportunity to work with our team at various venues throughout the Bay Area. We are looking for someone based in Oakland or the East Bay with experience in art installation, customer service, trades, and the arts. Candidate must be willing to work on an on-call basis. Position has the potential to turn into a full-time position. Compensation is hourly and scaled to work experience.

Requested experience and education:

  • Minimum 1 year of art handling experience at an art gallery, museum, or art handling company

  • BA from a four year college or university is a plus
     

To qualify for this position, you must:

  • Have experience handling and moving art of various mediums, including installation and de-installation in a gallery setting

  • Have prior experience and proven success with basic preparatory skills including patching and painting

  • Be able to lift up to 100 lbs

  • Have a professional demeanor and good attitude

  • Have strong organizational and time management skills

  • Be able to work and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner

  • Have a valid California driver's license

  • Have excellent references
